Perimeter Drainage Woes (2006-2012)

We purchased our house in late 2006. We initially viewed the property in October and during the buying process it suffered a small leak in the basement. The sellers brought in a specialist contractor, shelled out $25K to have half of the perimeter draintile changed and we continued to buy the house. We assumed the problem had been fixed. Two weeks later the basement was flooded.

We’ve been fighting ever since and it’s finally due to reach the Supreme Court of British Columbia in 2012.

Due to the open nature of this blog I won’t be talking about it until after the case has concluded. This post serves as a placeholder for the future when I’ll be adding the full details, along with photos so everybody can learn from our experience.
